Chapter 310: Rematch against alien

Chapter 310: Rematch against alien

Elena stared at Ethan for a second, worry flashing across her face. But she quickly forced herself to calm down for she still had a fight to finish.

Her gaze then turned cold as she looked back at the alien.

With a swift swing of her arm, two lethal spatial slashes shot forward, aiming straight for its ugly neck.

"Eat this, you bastard."

Whoosh!

For the first time, the alien felt fear. It twisted its body desperately, trying to avoid the killing blow.

At the same moment, the shadow binding its limbs loosened as Ethan had been knocked away and could no longer maintain the skill.

This gave the alien a chance to slide aside, barely saving its head from being severed.

However, one of the spatial slashes struck its arm instead.

Slice!

The limb was cleanly cut off instantly by the terrifying spatial force.

"RAAAARGH!"

It roared frantically as intense pain surged through its body. Soon after, a nasty, dark blood splattered across the ground as the severed arm fell.

Thud!

A second later, it tried to regenerate the wound.

But nothing happened. Its flesh twitched, yet the wound stubbornly refused to close.

Suddenly, it realized that its healing ability had vanished.

It stared at the stump in disbelief before looking back at Elena with furious eyes, as if demanding to know what she had done.

Elena watched the effect with a mocking gaze and did not back down. She glared at it with pure hatred.

Well, she had infused her attack with something poisonous to their kind—pure spiritual energy.

This method had been known in the past, but it was rarely used. The reason was simple: it was extremely wasteful.

Resources containing such energy were incredibly rare, making it almost a luxury to use them against aliens.

So, humans preferred to absorb pure spiritual energy themselves to strengthen their bodies and advance their tiers.

But now, things are different.

With the abundant spiritual herbs and fruits inside her space, Elena had access to a steady supply of this lethal substance.

The only difficulty was that refining it into a usable serum required a lot of effort.

Still, it was only a matter of time before she could produce it in batches. She was already planning to build a factory with the help of Aunt Liza and Uncle Anthony.

So she did not hesitate to use it against these vile creatures.

This time, she would make sure the alien never had the chance to prosper—nor turn this planet into a breeding ground for its kind.

Back on the battlefield, now free from the shadow’s grasp, the alien quickly retaliated and tried to grab Elena. But its prey had already vanished from the spot.

It growled dangerously and smashed the ground in fury, angry that it had been outsmarted by Elena again and again.

Soon after, its eyes glowed a bloody red and began burning its dead energy, as if it no longer cared about the cost.

It was completely enraged now and wanted only one thing—to kill the humans.

Moments later, the mutated pests that had previously retreated suddenly turned their heads again.

They began swarming back toward the battlefield, rushing straight toward Ethan’s crash site.

Their minds held only one command: bring this human back to their master.

On the other side, Elena appeared beside Ethan, who was currently stretching his body after the heavy impact.

Seeing that he was still standing, she sighed in relief, though she still wanted to check his condition.

"Are you sure you’re okay?" Elena asked, quickly scanning him from head to toe.

Ethan smiled. For the first time in a long while, he had finally encountered a worthy opponent.

"Wife, I’m fine... I used my ability to shield myself from the impact," he replied, reassuring her.

Then his expression turned cold as he looked at the approaching swarm of mutated pests.

"It seems the number of mutated pests has doubled. Let’s call the others to fight with us. Let them distract these creatures."

These mutated pests were extremely annoying. Fighting them while dealing with the alien would divide their attention between defense and offense.

It would be far better to leave these creatures to their teammates so he and Elena could focus entirely on the alien.

Besides, it would also be a good chance to test their people after all the combat training they had been through.

Elena agreed and quickly contacted everyone available. Not long after, their teammates began arriving one after another.

Uncle Anthony, Ramon, Lydia, Aunt Joana, and Andrei were the first to appear.

Without wasting time, they formed a group and intercepted the swarm of mutated pests from the east side.

At the same time, General Kaiser, Brother Elias, Shantel, and Lieutenant Fern formed another group, blocking the west side.

"Remember, your goal is to distract them, not fight to the death," Elena instructed firmly.

"If you have the advantage, then kill. Otherwise, use guerrilla tactics—just keep their attention on you."

"Roger."

Soon, loud explosions and clashes echoed across Building C as the battle between the mutated creatures and the human ability users intensified.

From above the trees, Elena observed her team closely as they fought with precision and coordination.

Uncle Anthony showcased his metal manipulation, controlling scraps and weapons to pierce through the mutated pests.

Ramon relied on his monstrous strength and regeneration, swinging heavy metal with brute force, crushing anything in his path.

From a distance, Lydia unleashed waves of ice, freezing and shattering enemies, while Andrei supported her by slowing them down with his gravity ability.

On the other side, General Kaiser fought head-on, enlarging his hands and smashing enemies with overwhelming strength.

At the same time, Brother Elias activated elemental talismans, releasing bursts of explosive power alongside Shantel’s blazing fire attacks.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Fern remained hidden, using her invisibility to stay atop a large tree, coordinating movements and relaying information to everyone.

The battlefield roared with continuous explosions and impacts as both sides clashed relentlessly.

Even from afar, other survivors watched the battle with tense expressions, silently praying that the ability users could withstand the overwhelming tide of mutated pests.

After observing for a moment, Elena and Ethan shifted their focus.

Now that the pests were occupied, it was time to deal with the real threat.

The two aliens.

"I’ll handle the second one," Ethan said, his voice cold as he wanted a rematch.

"It likely has a speed ability. Can you handle it?" Elena warned, knowing how dangerous a fast opponent could be.

Without a proper plan, the second alien might toy with him to death.

However, Ethan simply nodded. Seeing his confidence, Elena didn’t argue further.

With that, the two of them moved forward—heading straight toward the aliens for the second round.
