Galactic Conflict: I Restore the Glory of Humanity

Chapter 1035: The Cunning Guardian of the Country

Chapter 1035: The Cunning Guardian of the Country

The spires of the alert star hive "Iron Crown" were crumbling under the bombardment of orc rockets. On the 32nd defense platform, Astra Militarum Captain Lorenzo used a laser pistol to blast the head of a greenskin that climbed up the parapet.

On the fifty-meter-long automatic turret position behind him, twelve Hydra anti-aircraft guns were pouring barrages of bullets into the sky - but there were too many Ork aircraft. Those aircraft, which were pieced together from church domes and starship wreckage, covered the entire sky like a swarm of locusts.

"Switch to tungsten core bullets!"

Lorenzo's roar was torn apart by the explosion. He rushed to the gun position, stepping on the shells all over the ground, only to find that only half of the loader's body was stuck in the conveyor belt.

Just as the captain grabbed the bloody ammunition belt, the entire platform was suddenly shrouded in shadow. An orc landing ship modified with a Titan head was smashing straight into the position. Thousands of howling greenskins spewed out from between the open steel fangs at the bow.

The first line of defense collapsed at the moment of contact.

The orc war truck rolled over the sandbag fortifications, and the green-skinned technician who jumped out of the car used a welding torch to cut open the human soldier's breastplate and stuffed the still beating heart into the reactor in his chest.

When Lorenzo was blown away by the air wave, he saw a new recruit nailed to the wall by an orc chain axe that was converted into a chainsaw, and the boy's intestines became the paint for the greenskins to draw war patterns.

When the second wave of greenskins rushed onto the platform, something strange happened.

Thirty-seven bald figures suddenly jumped out of the ventilation duct, their skin glowing with a faint chitin glow, and two pairs of their four arms had transformed into sharp bone blades.

The leading Genestealer leader used his tail stinger to pierce the eye socket of an orc boss. The moment the acid was injected into the wound, the greenskin's huge body melted into a pool of boiling pus.

"It's an alien! Fire!"

Lorenzo's lieutenant screamed and turned his gun, but was slapped away by the captain with his power sword.

"Let them fight each other!"

Lorenzo roared and pointed to the sky, only to see more Genestealers crawling on the vertical outer walls of the hive. They used biological acid to etch climbing points on the reinforced glass, and like arthropods, they were pouncing on the Ork aircraft.

The position fell into a strange melee.

The Genestealers silently moved between the humans and the greenskins. One of the four-armed monsters even used its tail to pick up a fallen laser gun and accurately fired at the orc boys who were trying to outflank the Astra Militarum.

Lorenzo saw with his own eyes that a Genestealer whose chest was chopped open by an Orc's machete used a bone blade to pierce the greenskin's power core when he was dying, and the small nuclear explosion caused it cleared the entire firing point.

These gene stealers originally planned to disrupt the public order of the Lower Hive, but they found that the Lower Hive was already full of orcs, and there was no public order for them to disrupt. In addition, they received orders from the Great Hive Will to attack the orcs.

“Get out of the way! We’re coming!”

A distorted roar with a voice changer came from the elevator shaft. Thousands of tattooed Downnesider gangsters rushed out of the smoke, with a bald strong man leading them carrying a flamethrower modified from an industrial cutting machine, and a grinning skull painted on the fuel tank.

These villains who were supposed to be selling weapons in the bottom nest now showed amazing fighting power.

A prosthetic modifier whose arms had been transformed into power claws tore open the armor plates of an Orc war truck. A gang leader wearing full body armor with metal spikes turned himself into a human trip mine and rolled into the greenskin formation, and the rain of exploding steel nails even accidentally injured two Genestealers.

The orcs' counterattack reached its climax at sunset. Twenty infrasonic cannons modified from church organs were pushed to the front line. The green-skinned technicians pounded the keys frantically, and the visible sound waves shook the three layers of the wall into powder.

As the Astra Militarum soldiers retreated, covering their bleeding ears, the Genestealers charged towards the sound waves. Their compound eyes were able to capture the frequency of vibrations, and their bone blades accurately pierced into the resonance chamber of the infrasonic cannon.

Lorenzo reorganized his defenses behind cover. He commandeered the gang's transport truck and dumped crates of LSD into the coolant tanks of the Hydra anti-aircraft guns.

When the orc bosses dived in their flying vehicles modified with holy images, the shells contaminated with chemicals exploded in the air, creating psychedelic pink and purple clouds. The greenskin pilots immediately went crazy and started to crash into each other.

“The fuel pipe is connected!”

Casey's roar came from the lower level.

She led the gang to transform the hive's sewage pump into a flamethrower, pouring boiling chemical waste on the orcs climbing the outer wall, and a sizzling sound like barbecue could be heard in the foul smoke.

As the last Ork war machine - a giant killing mech modified from an Emperor statue - stepped onto the platform, the Genestealer patriarch suddenly let out a scream beyond the range of human hearing.

All the four-armed monsters stopped fighting at the same time and rushed towards the mecha like puppets.

They blocked the gun muzzles with their bodies, jammed their joints with bone blades, and corroded the power lines with acid. When the mechas fell to the ground with a bang, the remains of three hundred Genestealers had melted into steel.

Lorenzo seized this fleeting opportunity. He led the last twenty Astra Militarum soldiers onto the gangster's armed hovercraft and used the iron chains hanging from the church bell tower to tie up six melta bombs.

The moment the hovercraft crashed into the Ork headquarters, the captain pulled the detonator - the column of fire that shot up into the sky even illuminated the Imperial warships far away in orbit.

By this time, the low-Earth orbit of the Vigilant Planet had become a purgatory of flesh and steel.

The Tyranid bio-warships floated in the void like cancerous organs, their chitinous armor constantly opening and closing to reveal the pulsating spore sacs within; while the Ork junk fleets were like a herd of epileptic metal beasts, welding church spires, starship wreckage, and even entire asteroid hulls, spewing green waste flames in the vacuum of space.

The vanguard tentacle of the Hive Fleet "Leviathan" - a biological warship shaped like a giant trilobite - launched the first attack.

Its abdomen split open with a mouthpart with a diameter of three kilometers, and what spewed out was not acid, but millions of microscopic phagocytes.

These phosphorescent biological missiles traced strange spiral trajectories in the vacuum, attached to the armor seams of the Orc flagship "Big Damn Iron Block", and gnawed at the rivets and welds with their molecular-level sharp teeth.

The orcs responded with a purely aesthetic violence.

The greenskin technicians swung the gravity hammer made from a church organ and smashed the entire captured asteroid towards the Tyranid fleet.

When the rock mass with a diameter of fifty kilometers crashed into the hive mothership, what splashed out was not rock fragments, but the cloud of neural toxins released by the crushed Tyranid biological vesicles, which instantly corroded the twelve Ork assault boats into skeletons.

"WAAAGH!!!!! Maximum energy!"

Gruzk, one of the orc warlords, stabbed the rusty joystick into his thigh, and the psychic reactor activated by his blood caused the entire battleship to spew out green radiation pulses.

This EMP attack against mechanical creations had an unexpected effect on the Tyranid bio-ship - the navigation spores of the Zerg fleet suddenly spasmed collectively, and the airdrop capsules that had originally accurately pounced on the orbital defense platform were now running around like drunken fireflies.

"I think we can win."
