Chapter 25 Suspicious Points
Chapter 25 Suspicious Points
After Wei Hongsi sent the message, he quickly saw Gu Shiming's reply: "Very good!"
Qian Jiayu then sent a thumbs-up emoji.
If it can be proven that Peng Jun's other works also have problems, it will be very strong evidence for Zhiwei Technology. It will be invaluable in dealing with official inquiries and resolving business issues.
Therefore, both leaders were very positive.
Wei Hongsi quickly obtained authorization. He switched back to his work account and handed the three pre-processed data packets to the CMS for reverse engineering.
As one of the processing steps unfolds, and I watch the constantly changing data visualization module on the monitor, a red spot quietly appears before my eyes, landing on the simulated data representing the prefrontal cortex.
As the analysis progressed, a second and a third red spot appeared, landing on the simulated data representing delta waves and the amygdala, respectively.
The three sets of simulated data marked with red light spots all deviated significantly from the normal range.
The same situation applies to the other two processing steps.
This is exactly the same as when performing reverse analysis on scheme B, except that the deviation is much smaller.
Wei Hongsi glanced at the progress of the IR1 project team. The model debugging work, which was being led by Yu Sheng, had just begun and was expected to take a while. So he continued to perform forward simulation analysis on the three GGs.
After about twenty minutes, the analysis and calculation were completed, and he unfolded the charts and examined them one by one.
The first thing that caught my attention was that the focus retention rate for these three Google services all exceeded 65%, which is excellent. Although this is just simulated data, it shouldn't be too different from the real situation.
This left Wei Hongsi somewhat puzzled.
If only one of the GGs is exceptionally good, it might be attributed to chance; but if all three are so good, then it's a testament to their strength.
It's like playing a video game. Occasionally, you might have an exceptional performance, and with a bit of luck, even an average player can achieve a godlike pentakill. But if you can carry the entire game every time, winning no matter what kind of teammates you have, then you're definitely a true master.
Judging from the data, Peng Jun is undoubtedly a highly professional creative at GG, and his performance is very consistent.
Such a person is usually a key figure in the company, someone even the boss wouldn't easily offend. How could they be fired? Could it be because of their personality, leading to them being ostracized by their colleagues?
The so-called performance reasons are often just a means for companies to fire people, and do not necessarily mean that the person is really incompetent.
Take Wei Hongsi for example. If he is constantly marginalized by He Feng and slacks off passively for three consecutive months, he will be labeled as "incompetent and unable to perform most tasks," and then HR can use this as a reason to fire him.
Looking at the other data, they were mostly within the normal range, and no simulated subjects showed any obvious abnormalities.
Based on the data from the reverse analysis, we can conclude that these three GGs do not cause viewers to subconsciously generate negative emotions, but the GGs contain specific subconscious trigger points for negative emotions.
There is also a point of doubt here.
Judging from the process of producing the original film of Plan B by Peng Jun, it is both time-consuming and laborious to implant subconscious trigger points during filming.
It's easy to imagine that the same situation occurred when these three GG videos were filmed.
So why wasn't the next step taken after filming?
While pondering, Wei Hongsi sent the analysis data and charts to the IR1 project team.
Qian Jiayu: "Judging from the data from Hongsifa, the original film of Plan B likely contains subconscious trigger points."
Gu Shiming: "President Qian is being conservative; I'm absolutely certain!"
Qian Jiayu: "That's not rigorous enough. I can't exactly write it like that in the report, can I?"
Gu Shiming: "It's alright, the results will be out soon. @Yu Sheng (Part 2-01), how's the progress?"
A few minutes later, Yu Sheng popped up: "@Gu Shiming (Cognitive Research Center-01) Mr. Gu, IR1 model debugging is complete."
Gu Shiming: "Okay, I'll deploy it to the CMS."
Wei Hongsi seized the opportunity to send a message: "President Yu, could you help me check if Peng Jun has commissioned our company to do performance analysis for the other three Google ads he produced?"
Yu Sheng: "Okay, send out the main GG information."
Wei Hongsi compiled the relevant information and sent it to the discussion group.
Not long after, Yu Sheng replied: "The first and third ones were done by us." He then sent out the summary information.
Qian Jiayu: "The first time GG made a request was on February 26th. According to President Meng, Li Yunxiang hadn't figured it out yet at that time."
Chien Chia-yu: "The third commission from GG was on May 12th. According to the investigation by the General Manager of the Computer System, the CMS malfunctioned in the early morning of May 25th."
Gu Shiming: "It seems that the mastermind behind this has been planning this for a long time, but their initial target was probably not us."
Yu Sheng: "I don't know which company did the analysis for the second GG, but it's probably one of those few companies."
Qian Jiayu: "There's no need to guess. We'll immediately provide this information to the police, which will not only help solve the case but also relieve some of our pressure."
Gu Shiming: "Great idea!"
Qian Jiayu: "Hongsi, it's up to you now."
In the newly formed emergency response team, Wei Hongsi was recruited by Wu Wenjun, and his task became "assisting in handling liaison with the police." He obtained the three men's information from the police, and was the first choice to handle subsequent communications.
Qian Jiayu's statement wasn't an order; it was more like a work reminder between colleagues.
Wei Hongsi replied, "Okay." Then he picked up his phone and sent a message to his brother: "I've made a new discovery. Message me when you're free."
After a brief silence in the discussion group, Gu Shiming sent a message: "IR1 deployment is complete. @Wei Hongsi (Second Department) has assigned you permissions. You no longer need to perform segment analysis on Solution B. Just release the full version directly."
Wei Hongsi replied "Received" and handed over the preprocessed data of Scheme B to the IR1 model for analysis.
The anti-rendering simulation and analysis operation was completed in less than half an hour.
As expected, the simulated analytical values of the three key data points were problematic, and were highly similar to the analytical results of the three GGs.
Wei Hongsi retrieved the analytical curve he had created for Scheme B during the day and compared it with the newly obtained data curve. The two curves showed a high degree of similarity.
Therefore, we can conclude that what they wanted to see most after working all night can be seen.
—The original footage of Option B was indeed carefully planned and arranged. Before being rendered by CMS, it had a certain degree of hypnotic effect and contained subconscious trigger points for negative emotions.
He sent the relevant data charts and conclusions to the project team, and someone quickly responded.
Qian Jiayu: "It wasn't all for nothing. Now my report will be much easier to write."
Gu Shiming: "@Qian Jiayu (Risk Response Center-01) Mr. Qian, you can first talk to Mr. Ji. I believe he will be happy to hear this news."
Qian Jiayu: "OK!"
Wei Hongsi checked the time; it was already 1 a.m. He would usually be asleep by now. It seems that all these leaders are night owls.
However, his task was already completed, so he didn't need to waste any more time with the leaders. Yu Sheng told him to go home and rest, and not to come to the company in the morning.
